The treatment plan that I have chosen to try and follow for the past few months requires me bathe in Epsom salts three times a week.  Fortunately for me this is not only possible but also extremely enjoyable.  In my previous post,  “Hot Water Helps”, I have already mentioned how fortunate I am to be able to have a walk-in accessible bath.  For people who are unable to get in and out of a bath the book ( “Treating Arthritis the drug-free way”) suggests bathing the hands and feet using a bowl.  For a bath one pound of salts is needed.  I sourced mine on the internet and originally bought a small quantity for trial purposes but now I have started buying the largest pack I am able to store, 25 kilos, as it is cheaper to purchase in bulk.  I have also bought a plastic storage container on wheels to make the salts more easy to access and use.

The theory behind bathing regularly in Epsom salts is fully explained in the book but it is also a generally well known and accepted form of therapy.  I recommend the company in the link below.  They sell salts in various quantities.
